Payments

How do I pay my invoice?

You can pay online by clicking "Pay Now" with your credit card, or transfer funds directly to our bank account using your invoice number as the reference (bank details are on your invoice).

Can someone else pay for me?

Yes. Forward our email with the invoice attached to whoever is paying. Or click "Request Amended Invoice" to have a new invoice sent directly to the bill payer within 24 hours.

Will I get a receipt?

Yes, you'll see a confirmation page after paying online, and we'll email you a copy.

Are my card details safe?

Absolutely. We use secure, encrypted payment pages and never store your credit card information.

What if my payment is declined?

Banks often block unusually large payments or payments to unfamiliar recipients. Contact your bank to authorize the transaction.

Can I pay part of my invoice?

Not with a credit card online, but you can make a partial bank transfer using the details on your invoice.

Amending an Invoice

My discount wasn't applied

Click "Request Amended Invoice" and tell us about your discount eligibility. We will review your request and send a corrected invoice within 3 business days.

I was charged VAT incorrectly

We charge VAT for UK and EU addresses unless you provide a EuropeanVAT number. Click "Request Amended Invoice" to add your VAT number. (Note: Spanish VAT numbers need manual verification – please email invoice.request@ioppublishing.org).

The Bill To address is incorrect

Click "Request Amended Invoice" to have a new invoice sent directly to the bill payer within 24 hours.

The fees look incorrect

Send details of your concerns to invoice.request@ioppublishing.org

How long for an amended invoice?

We respond to most requests within 24 hours. Discount requests and invoice splits can take up to 3 business days.

Can't access your article details?

Use either the direct link from our email or enter your invoice number and access key from your invoice to payments.ioppublishing.org Each invoice has its own unique access details for security.
